In-situ crop data are indispensable to set-up and run local relevant applications for monitoring crop production. Within the AGRO-STAC initiative field data is collected from a number of sites world-wide. Next data is checked, cleaned,  reformatted, interpreted and finally stored in the AGRO-STAC database. Data can be accessed via a web-based dashboard and REST services. In particular the data can be used for validation purposes of models and satellite based products and/or for a multi-annual analysis of field conditions.
